Fostering

Who We Are

Fosters are Saving Paws volunteers who care of our animals in their own homes.

What We Do

Fostering is one of the most important things we do at Saving Paws! When a volunteer welcomes a pregnant mama-to-be, a new litter, a special-needs pet, or an aging senior into their home, they provide a safe and loving environment for each animal, where all of the animal's needs are met. Some pets may only stay with their foster family for a short period of time while they await adoption, while other animals are long-term residents of a volunteer's home. Foster volunteers are especially wonderful at working with timid pets who need socialization, animals who need a bit more training, sick animals who require medications and medical care, as well as hospice pets who will spend their last days in the lap of love. Wow, our foster volunteers are amazing people!
